1. Who we are

Crown & Battle is a trading name of Earendil Commerce LLC, a Limited Liability Company (New Mexico, USA) (Entity ID 0008085321), with its registered address at 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States. You can contact us at info@earendil-commerce.com. These Terms govern every purchase made on this website.

2. What we sell

We sell hand-crafted themed chess sets inspired by historical battles: sets of 32 hand-painted playing pieces, solid wooden boards, and printed companion booklets (the “Battle Chronicle”). Product photographs are illustrative; because every set is painted by hand, small variations between sets are normal and are part of the product's character, not a defect.

3. Ordering and formation of the contract

Placing an order constitutes an offer to buy. The contract between you and Earendil Commerce LLC is formed when we send you the order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch (for example, suspected fraud or pricing error); in that case any amount paid is refunded in full.

4. Prices and currency

• All prices on this website are shown in British Pounds (GBP, £).
• The price shown at checkout is the total amount we charge: product price plus the shipping option you select (Standard shipping is free; Express shipping is optional and priced at checkout). There are no hidden mandatory fees.
• Import taxes and duties are not included. For deliveries where import VAT, duties or customs fees apply, these are the customer's responsibility and may be collected by the carrier upon delivery. See our Shipping Policy.
• “Compare at” prices shown with a strikethrough indicate the product's regular list price outside promotional periods.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout (including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and, where available, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other local methods). Your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and never touch or get stored on our servers. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

6. Delivery

Sets are hand-made in batches and dispatched within 5–9 working days. Methods, destinations, estimated delivery times and what to do if a parcel is late or damaged are described in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Right of withdrawal (UK & EU consumers) and returns

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. In addition, we offer our own voluntary 90-day money-back guarantee, which applies on top of — and never limits — your statutory rights. 8. Legal guarantee of conformity

Consumers in the UK benefit from the remedies of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose). Consumers in the EU benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years under Directive (EU) 2019/771. Our commercial 90-day guarantee is additional to these legal rights and does not replace or reduce them.

9. Promotion terms

• The launch offer advertised on this site (“UP TO 30% OFF + FREE TRACKED SHIPPING”) means: selected kits are sold at the promotional price shown on the product section (up to 30% below the regular list price shown with a strikethrough), and Standard tracked shipping is free on all orders.
• The promotion has no fixed end date and may be modified or withdrawn at any time; the price shown at checkout at the moment of purchase is always the price charged.
• Promotional prices apply once per product per order and cannot be combined with other discount codes unless expressly stated.
• Post-purchase offers (order bumps and one-click upsells) are optional and shown with their own price before you accept them.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website — product designs, sculpts, photographs, texts, the Battle Chronicle and the Crown & Battle brand — is owned by or licensed to Earendil Commerce LLC and may not be reproduced or used commercially without our written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA. However, if you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you always keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your own country. Nothing in this clause deprives you of those rights.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We encourage you to contact info@earendil-commerce.com first — most issues are resolved within one business day.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the moment you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
